Katie Aselton is an acclaimed actor and filmmaker who is best known for her starring role in the FX comedy The League. The show will premiere for its fourth season on October 11, 2012.
Katie’s breakout acting role was in The Puffy Chair directed by Mark and Jay Duplass and the film was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards. She made her directorial debut in The Freebie in which she also stars. The film premiered to critical acclaim at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and was released theatrically by Phase 4 in 2010.
Katie also directed and starred in the survivor thriller Black Rock alongside Lake Bell and Kate Bosworth. The film premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and will be released in early 2013 by LD Entertainment.
Audiences most recently saw Katie in the Jesse Peretz comedy Our Idiot Brother opposite Paul Rudd. Past credits include Intervention which premiered at Berlin Film Festival in 2006, Cyrus which debuted at Sundance in 2012 and Kyle Patrick Alvarez’s Easier with Practice.
