Born in Hong Kong to an Irish-American businessman and Japanese mother, Chris was raised in Tokyo, Japan, until the age of eight before moving to the United States. He spent the rest of his youth growing up in the suburbs of Washington, DC.
Chris graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a degree in Anthropology, and worked briefly as a contract archaeologist. He transitioned to the music industry where he played in band, managed talent, and promoted over 700 concerts in the Washington, DC area. He eventually found himself in Los Angeles with the ambition to produce television and film. Things came full circle when Chris found himself back in Maryland after landing a job as a writer on HBO's critically acclaimed series, The Wire, winning a WGA Award and being nominated for another.
Chris is the Co-Executive Producer on the FX series, Sons of Anarchy. Other credits include Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Starz television series, Crash, and the award-winning documentary Disarm. Chris also created an anthology series, The Unknown, for Sony's digital platform, Crackle, and has another series in development at HBO.
